LinReg is a statistical program that will calculate the correlation coefficient (r) and the line of best fit for the data provided. The correlation coefficient is telling of the strength of correlation (relation) between the independent variable (x) and the dependent variable (y) and if predictions can be made from the data or if the values are more random. The line of best fit then provides the line from which data can be predicted.
